1Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, to the holy ones who are at Ephesus and the faithful in Christ Jesus: 2Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places through Christ. 4He chose us through him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blemish before him in love. 5He predetermined ordained us to adoption, as sons to himself through Jesus Christ, according to the kind intention of his will. 6This is to the praise of the glory of his kindness, with which he freely honored us, the loved ones. 7In him we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace. 8He made this undeserved kindness abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence insight. 9He made known to us the secret of his will, according to his good pleasure and purpose. 10It was for an administration at the appointed time. This administration is to gather up all things in Christ, the things in heaven, and the things upon the earth. Yes in him! 11We were assigned as heirs predetermined according to his purpose. He works all things according to his direction and will. 12We who were first to hope in Christ should serve to the praise of his glory. 13You have heard the word of the truth in Christ. It is the good news about your salvation. You also believed and were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit. 14The Holy Spirit is a guarantee that we will receive our inheritance. This assures us that God will set us free to the praise of his glory. 15For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus that is among you, and the love you show all the holy ones. 16I continually give thanks for you in my prayers. 17May the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give you a spirit mental disposition of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. 18Have the eyes of your heart enlightened, that you may know the hope of his calling, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the holy ones, 19and what the exceeding greatness of his power is toward us who believe, according to the operation of his mighty strength. 20He operated in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places. 21It is far above all governments and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. 22He God put all things in subjection under his feet, and made him head over all things to the congregation, 23which is his body, the fullness of him who fills accomplishescompletes all in all.
