1I was glad when they said to me: »Let us go to the house of Jehovah.« 2Our feet will stand inside your gates, Jerusalem. 3Jerusalem is built to be a city where the people are united. 4All of Jehovahs tribes go to that city because it is a law in Israel to give thanks to the name of Jehovah. 5The court of justice sits there. It consists of princes who are David's descendants. 6Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May those who love you prosper. 7May there be peace inside your walls and prosperity in your palaces. 8For the sake of my brothers and friends let me say: »May it go well for you!« 9For the sake of the house of Jehovah our God, I will seek what is good for you.
