1Sin speaks to the ungodly deep within his heart. There is no reverence for God before his eyes. 2He flatters himself and does not hate or even recognize his sin. 3The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit and he ceased to be wise and do good. 4He plans wickedness upon his bed. He walks on a path that is not good. He does not despise evil. 5Your loving-kindness, O Jehovah, extends to the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the skies. 6Your righteousness is like the mountains of God. Your judgments are like great deep water. O Jehovah, you preserve man and beast. 7How precious is your loving-kindness, O God! And the children of men put their trust in the shadow of your wings. 8They drink their fill of the abundance of your house. You give them the river of your delights to drink. 9For with you is the fountain source of life. In your light we see light. (Jeremiah 2:13) (Acts 17:28) 10O continue your kindness and unchanging love to those who know you and your righteousness to the upright in heart. 11Do not let the foot of pride come upon me. Do not let the hand of the ungodly drive me away. 12The doers of evil have fallen! They have been thrust down and cannot rise.
