1Listen to my words, O Jehovah, Consider my innermost thoughts. 2Listen to the sound of my cry for help, my King and my God, for to you I pray. 3In the morning, O Jehovah, You will hear my voice. In the morning I will address my prayer to you and be on the watch. 4For you are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness. No evil dwells with you! 5The arrogant shall not stand before your eyes. You hate all who practice sin. 6You destroy those who speak falsehood. Jehovah abhors the man of bloodshed and deceit. 7But as for me, by your abundant loving kindness I will enter your house. At Your holy temple I will bow in reverence of you. 8O Jehovah, lead me in your righteousness because of my enemies. Make your way straight in my presence. 9There is nothing truthful in what they say! Their inward part is destruction. Their throat is an open grave. They flatter with their tongue. 10Pronounce them guilty, O God. Let them fall by their own devices. In the multitude of their transgressions thrust them out, because they are rebellious against you. 11But let all who take refuge in you rejoice. Let them ever sing for joy because you defend them. Let those who love your name exult in you. 12You bless the righteous man, O Jehovah. You surround him with favor as with a shield.
