1Why do you brag about the evil you have done, O mighty man? The loving kindness of God endures continually! 2Your tongue makes up wickedness. It is like a sharp razor, you master of deceit. 3You prefer evil to good. You prefer lying to speaking the truth. 4You love words that devour, O deceitful tongue. 5God will destroy you forever. He will remove you from your dwelling place from out of the land of the living. 6The righteous also sees, and fears, and laughs at him. They say: 7Here is the man who did not make God his strength refugestronghold. He trusted in the abundance of his riches. He strengthened himself in his wickedness. 8But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy and loving kindness of God forever and ever. 9I will thank you forever for what you have done. I will wait in your name, for it is good, in the presence of your holy God-like ones.
