1REGARDING the collection for the holy, as I arranged for the churches of Galatia, you must do the same. 2On the first day of the week let each of you lay up at home something according as he may be prospering, in order that no collections may be going on when I come. 3When I come, whatever persons you may approve, I will send with letters to carry your gracious gift to Jerusalem. 4And if it seems best for me to go, they shall go with me. 5I shall come to you alter I pass through Macedonia. For I shall pass through Macedonia 6and perhaps I shall make some stay with you or pass the winter with you, so that you may send me forward wherever I may be going. 7I do not wish to see you now merely in passing, for I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits. 8I shall remain in Ephesus until Pentecost, 9for a great and effective door has been opened to me, and there are many opponents. 10If Timothy comes, see to it that he becomes free from fear in his relations to you. For he is doing the Lord's work, just as I am. 11So let no one think him of no account. Send him forward in peace on his journey to me, for I am expecting him with the brethren. 12As to Apollos our brother, I urged him strongly to go to you with the brethren. But it was not at all his will to go now, but he will come when it is convenient. 13Watch, stand firmly in the faith, be manly, be strong, 14let all that you do be done in love. 15I beg you, brethren \'97 you know the household of Stephanas, that it is the first-fruit of Achaia and they have devoted themselves to serving the holy \'97 16I beg you to show deference to such and to every fellow worker and laborer. 17I rejoice in the arrival of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because they made up for my lack of you. 18For they refreshed my spirit and yours. Appreciate such men. 19The churches of Asia send you their greetings. Aquila and Prisca with the church in their house greet you heartily in the Lord. 20All the brethren send greetings to you. Greet one another with a holy kiss. 21Here is the greeting of me, Paul, by my own hand. 22If any one does not love the Lord, let him be accursed! Maran atha! 23The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you. 24My love to all of you in Christ Jesus.
