1And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, 2Speak to Aaron and his sons, that they set themselves apart from the holy things of the children of Israel, and that they do not profane My holy name by what they consecrate to Me: I am Jehovah. 3Say to them: Anyone of your seed throughout your generations, who goes near the holy things which the children of Israel consecrate unto Jehovah, while he has uncleanness upon him, that soul shall be cut off from before My face: I am Jehovah. 4Any man of the seed of Aaron, who is a leper or has a discharge, shall not eat of the holy things until he is clean. And whoever touches anything made unclean by a corpse, or a man whose seed goes out through intercourse, 5or whoever touches any swarming thing by which he is unclean, or any person by whom he is unclean, whatever his uncleanness may be; 6the soul who has touched any such thing shall be unclean until evening, and shall not eat of the holy things unless he washes his flesh with water. 7And when the sun goes down he shall be clean; and afterward he may eat the holy things, because it is his food. 8Whatever dies naturally or is torn by beasts he shall not eat, to defile himself with it: I am Jehovah. 9They shall therefore keep My ordinance, lest they bear sin for it and die thereby, if they profane it: I, Jehovah, sanctify them. 10No stranger shall eat of the holy things; one who sojourns with the priest, or a hired servant, shall not eat of the holy things. 11But if the priest buys a soul with his money, he may eat it; and one who is born in his house may eat his food. 12If the priests daughter is married to a man who is a stranger, she shall not eat of the offerings of the holy things. 13But if the priests daughter is a widow or divorced, and has no child, and has returned to her fathers house as in her youth, she shall eat her fathers food; but no stranger shall eat it. 14And if a man eats of the holy things unintentionally, then he shall add a fifth part and give it to the priest with the holy thing. 15They shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel, which they offer unto Jehovah, 16nor allow them to bear the iniquity of the guilt offering when they eat the holy things; for I, Jehovah, sanctify them. 17And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, 18Speak to Aaron and his sons, and to all the children of Israel, and say to them: Any man of the house of Israel, or of the sojourners in Israel, who presents his offering for any of his vows or for any of his freewill offerings, which they offer unto Jehovah as a burnt offering; 19you shall offer of your own will a male that is whole from the cattle, from the sheep, or from the goats. 20You shall not offer whatever has a blemish, for it shall not be acceptable for you. 21And whoever offers a sacrifice of peace offerings unto Jehovah to fulfill his vow, or a freewill offering from the cattle or the sheep, it shall be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no blemish in it. 22Those that are blind or broken or maimed, or have an ulcer or itch or scabs, you shall not offer unto Jehovah, nor make an offering by fire of them upon the altar unto Jehovah. 23A bull or a lamb that has anything deformed or dwarfed you may offer as a freewill offering, but for a vow it shall not be accepted. 24You shall not offer unto Jehovah what is bruised or crushed, or torn or cut; you shall not do it in your land. 25Nor from a foreigners hand shall you offer any of these as the bread of your God, because their corruption is in them, and blemishes are in them. They shall not be accepted for you. 26And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying: 27When a bull or a sheep or a goat is born, it shall be with its mother seven days; and from the eighth day and onward it shall be acceptable as an offering by fire unto Jehovah. 28However, with the cow or ewe, do not kill both her and her young on the same day. 29And when you offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto Jehovah, offer it of your own will. 30On the same day it shall be eaten; you shall leave none of it until morning: I am Jehovah. 31Therefore you shall keep My commandments, and do them: I am Jehovah. 32You shall not profane My holy name, but I will be treated holy among the children of Israel. I am Jehovah who sanctifies you, 33who is bringing you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am Jehovah.
