1In my distress I have cried out unto Jehovah, and He heard me. 2Rescue my soul, O Jehovah, from lying lips and from a deceitful tongue. 3What shall be given to you, or what shall be done to you, O deceitful tongue? 4Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of the broom tree! 5Woe is me, that I have sojourned in Meshech, that I have dwelt in the tents of Kedar! 6My soul has dwelt long with him who hates peace. 7I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.
