1My heart has been stirred over a good matter; I speak of my works regarding the King; my tongue is the pen of a ready writer. 2You are the fairest of the sons of men; grace is poured into Your lips; therefore God has blessed You forever. 3Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O mighty One, with Your glory and Your majesty. 4And ride prosperously in Your majesty, because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and Your right hand shall teach You awesome things. 5Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the King’s enemies; peoples fall under You. 6Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; the scepter of Your kingdom is a scepter of uprightness. 7You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness above Your fellows. 8All Your garments smell of myrrh, and aloes and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, by which they have made You glad. 9Kings’ daughters are among Your precious ones; on Your right hand stands the queen in gold of Ophir. 10Listen, O daughter, consider and extend your ear; forget your own people also, and your father’s house. 11Thus the King shall greatly long for your beauty, for He is your Lord; bow down before Him. 12And the daughter of Tyre shall come with a gift; even the rich among the peoples shall entreat your face. 13The king’s daughter is all glorious within; her clothing is plaited with gold. 14She shall be brought to the King in clothing of needlework; the virgins, her companions who follow, shall be brought to You. 15They shall be brought with gladness and rejoicing; they shall enter into the King’s palace. 16In the place of your fathers shall be your sons, whom you will make princes in all the earth. 17I will make Your name to be remembered from generation to generation; therefore the people shall praise You forever and ever.
