1Great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of His holiness. 2Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the Great King. 3God is made known in her palaces for a refuge. 4For, lo, the kings were assembled; they passed by together. 5They saw it, so they marveled; they were troubled, and hurried away. 6Fear took hold of them there, and writhing, like a woman giving birth. 7You break the ships of Tarshish with an east wind. 8As we have heard, so we have seen in the city of Jehovah of Hosts, in the city of our God. God will establish it forever. Selah. 9We have thought of Your lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of Your temple. 10According to Your name, O God, so is Your praise to the ends of the earth. Your right hand is full of righteousness. 11Let Mount Zion rejoice! Let the daughters of Judah exult because of Your justice! 12Walk around Zion, and go all around it; count the towers of it; 13set your heart on its bulwarks, pass by its fortress; so that you may recount it to the following generation. 14For this God is our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even unto death.
